We are on the main A4 road, half way between Calne & Marlborough. An ideal Place to visit some of Britains most historical sites, We are an enjoyable 20 minuet walk from the Ancient site of the Avebury Stone circle and the Mysterious Silbury Hill can be viewed from our lovely garden area.
We don't do Rooms but we do have a list of the most delightful local Bed & Breakfasts close to us who we work very closely with.

Located around and within the village of AVEBURY is a Neolithic stone monument containing three stone circles. Unique amongst megalithic monuments, the village contains the largest stone circle in Europe, and is one of the best known prehistoric sites in Britain.
The Grade 1-listed Avebury Manor dates back to the 16th century and now the house has been completely restored for the television programme, The Manor Reborn which screens Nov/Dec 2011. Only 5minutes drive from The Waggon & Horses, it is a fabulous experience and well worth the visit.
The main concentration of appearances of these fabulous \'phenomena\' are to be found in Southern England, many around ancient sites such as Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill (the largest manmade mound in Europe).
Silbury Hill is an artificial chalk mound near Avebury in the English county of Wiltshire. The hill stands at 37 metres (120 ft) high and is part of the complex Neolithic monuments around Avebury, which includes the Avebury Ring and West Kennet Long Barrow.
West Kennet Long Barrow
The West Kennet Long Barrow is a Neolithic tomb situated on a prominent chalk ridge near Silbury Hill, one-and-a-half miles south of Avebury in Wiltshire. The site was recorded by John Aubrey in the 17th century and by William Stukeley in the 18th century.
